80% ?

We live in a country where we’re told, “work harder”.

We eat more than we can handle.

We buy more than we need.

We plan into our days more than we will ever be able to get done.

We think too much.

We hold ourselves too tightly.

The Okinawan Rule of 80% seems to have been popping up a lot lately. So I wonder:

80% ?

Also of note: Pareto’s Law – the 80/20 rule .

It appears that too much time is given to things that don’t really matter – to the point of destructiveness to happy lives.

Two Jay Seifert lines:

The things that matter the most should never be at the mercy of the things that matter the least.

It’s never the wrong time to do the right thing.

What’s right?

Relax, it’s cool.

You’ll know as soon as you slow down a little,

put the phone away,

take a walk maybe

or sit outside,

and reflect

on what’s happening here…

“What do I want?…

“Why do I want it?…

“What for??”
